Tatanka Federal wells Bison/Chevron

I have been working on getting into pay status with Bison for months. My last emails between myself and their Sr. Division Order Analyst confirmed that they were updating their records (due to inheriting said minerals a couple years back) and they would be emailing DO soon. Yesterday I received a DO from Chevron also noting the Tatanka Federal LD13. I did get and sign a DO with Chevron 2 years ago for the Castor Federal well, which is obviously plugged. Why am I getting a DO from Chevron?

Quit Claim description is: T9N, R58W, Section 13, 640 Acres.

Chevron DO description is: T9N, R58W, 6TH P.M. Section 13: All, and Section:14 All, 1280 Acres

I’ve learned a lot about mineral ownership from you folks on this forum, but clearly not enough, as I am baffled. Also curious about the addition of Section 14 on Chevron’s DO.

Any insight would be appreciated. Leigh

The Castor Federal LD 13-78HN was a north-south well only in sec 13. It has been plugged. (14-78 was also plugged in 14). The Tatanka LD Federal wells are a set of horizontal wells that are in sections 13 & 14 and go east-west. Chevron has a bunch of north-south wells in 15 with Castor 15-78 in their names.
