Does anyone have contact information for Shell/SWEPI in Huerfano County? I have mineral rights and would like to speak to them about OGL. Cannot find any contact info anywhere.
Kris,
It is my understanding that SWEPI has, or will pull back from its projects in Huerfano and Moffat County. You might Google press releases with the county names to confirm. I do know their contract land company backed out of a couple of leases in Moffat by not honoring bank drafts and I haven't heard of any Huerfano activity (where I've been involved for 30 years) for the past two and a half years. You may try to find out who they have farmed out their leases to and contact them.
Please let us know what you find out.
I wouldn't consider it unless you had at least a full section then I'd work a performance deal for more money and 10 years and I wouldn't do that until I had talked to Petroglyph's geologist and saw the maps. If you have less than 40 acres and no production nearby, it really doesn't make any difference what you do. I don't know Petroglyph or what they do but if they demand an lease unfavorable to you, they are probably planning to sell your rights. Best plan with small acreage is to wait until there is production nearby. If you want to make a little cash, figure out how much is worth your while and counter offer and walk away Keep in mind that production is what makes your minerals valuable both to you and others. Be an informed owner before you make a choice.
Gary,
We have several hundred leased mineral rights acres in Huerfano County, Colorado. Where do I start to find reputable people to assist in selling all?
Thanks - Kris Losee
Mr. Hutchinson
Do you have any information on what is going on in Huerfano County now? My 75 acres was leased in 2013 by Petroglyph who is in bankruptcy, but lease is up next month. Wondering what I should do. Is there any action in Huerfano now? Is there a market for selling non-production mineral rights in Huerfano County?
Thanks - Kris Losee
