Inherited mineral rights, last year was notified they wanted to try drilling. They sent a letter asking us to select one of three options. I did. But now I am suddenly getting calls to see if I want sale.

I am not sure what to do or why suddenly this is happening. Who can I validate that all is in order with my mineral rights. What do I need to be concerned about or ask?

I see that my Uncles address is wrong, and I am his DPOA.

As for your uncle

It is a fairly simple notice to file in the counties. You need:

  1. Legal description
  2. Information about an earlier instrument filed that mentions him.
  3. His current information. Each county will charge $13 to file a one page doc + $2 for each additional page. Copy of POA if you are signing document. Of course letters to current operators.
