Its hard to ramp up US supply, short term. Capital and equipment and labor constrained and anything you can even get done today doesn’t produce oil for 6-9 months. And in 6-9 months there is good chance that the whole world is back to thinking that your whole industry should be put to the sword.
Energy transitions are hard. Wars are bad.
