Well, yes, that was not all of the article and the second page was much longer than the first and had a wonderful map. I believe what they had circled on that page and calling it the SOHOT was probably up in Grady Co. maybe where the Wilkerson started all that hot stuff up there.
contâŚLarge Potential B. Mikael, U.S. lower 48 upstream analyst for âŚsaid the early Okla. development is only beginning to attract attention from other parts of the country.
âThe Mid-Continent doesnât get enough credit for the stacked position we see in other parts of the country,â he said. âThis is an undervalued and under-appreciated market.â
Most of the regionâs producers have focused publicly on oil, which until the past seven months has been much more valuable than natural gas. But Mikael said oil is not the greatest resource in the area. âThis is very much a gas play.â he said. âItâs a very wet, heavy gas play, but itâs very much a gas play.â
SCOOP proves itselfâŚCR has focused most of itâs efforts over the past decade on the Bakken field in ND, but increasingly has paid attention to southern Okla. âThe SCOOP really proved itself as another major platform of growth for the company, representing 21 percent of our fourth-quarter production and 27 percent of our proved reserves at yearend 2014,â CR President Jack Start said last week on a conference call with analysts. While most companies are laying down rigs throughout the country, Newfield is increasing activity in the area. The company has nine rigs in the SCOOP and STACK and plans to add a 10th this quarter.
Hi everybody . I havenât asked very many questions lately but I do like to keep up with all of your info .
We signed a contract with Newfeild around Aug. We havenât heard anything since . Anybody know whats going on in stephens co. sec 17 2n 5w ? Also sec 9 2n 5w .How do you find out who has the other 5 acres that are on the original title . I canât find any other documents that say this title has been divided . Also how do you check if there are other royalties for these sections from bottom holes or pooling ect. ? I hope I donât sound dumb . But I just gotta ask.
Thanks Janice
Is 17 2N 5W right in downtown marlow? I have a few old wells at this location, but the royalties are few, far between and super small. we have not had any communication other than the occasional tiny check for 10 years or so.
HutchâŚwe went to Marlow to meet and eat with some relatives and when we returned about 8:00 last night the equipment was gone from the ole Poteet #1 and they were hauling a tank of oil off of it as we passed! Whahoo!!!
Still believe there were 3 Honeycutt well rigs still up as of last night.
A drilling rig was being hauled north on highway 76 from down toward the diggings somewhere. Hubby tried to throw himself in front of it (hehe) and make them turn around but he had another thought. lol
17 2n 5w is 1/2 mile north of hwy 29 on Morrison Rd.
Thanks , We have had the deed since Steveâs grandma died in the 90âs and we have never heard from any oil companies at all . And we canât find anything out . We canât find any records except the affidavits of death and the lease from the 80âs It would help if we knew who had the lease up to last August.
Linda, strange thing about that Oklahoman article. I could read the whole thing on my phone, just on the computer they wanted log in.
Happy Sunday everyone! I was wondering if anyone has recieved any division orders or letters from Marathon for the HK19 DOOM in sec 19 1S 4W?
Joyce, I would not get your hopes up too high about 6-1N-6W at the moment. It is on the edge of the Woodford condensate play. The play is moving that direction, but the price drop has slowed things down quite a bit in the last six months. Continental is a big player in the township, so might take them a while to get through their current inventory before they drill that area. They will most likely start on the east side before moving to the west. They are doing some leasing in 6 as is Echo Energy.
Roads still VERY muddy from the recent snow so itâll be a while before we venture down them at the diggings.
I have interest in the following sections and looking for latest information:
1-1S-5W
2-5S-5W
2-3S-5W
7-1N-6W
11-1S-5W
12-1S-5W
I would appreciate any new information since I have not been following the forum lately. Hal in Texas.
If any of you local folks go to the Mineral Owners meeting in Chickasha could you please report back here on the forum.

Linda, the article says Saturday in Clinton. Someone from CR and the OCC will be there. It sounds like a good time to get some questions answered.
Maybe where you post questions for the live chat was the live chat but I was expecting a video. duah!!!
I havenât seen any of these, a 3 section horizontal well in grady county.
Joseph - Is there a drawing that goes with the 3-section cause? I tried to make my own drawing from the text and it did not make sense to me. The surface location seems to be in the NW corner of S29 and the first perf is on the south of this section. Does this mean they will drill two laterals from the same surface location? One southerly from the surface location and one twice as long in the northerly direction?
Here is the drawing. You go to the OCC Case files under the CD 201500797 and look up the Exhibits. (Even though they canât spell Exhibit)

There is one similar to this in Garvin.
