Stephens County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Thanks Bob, that makes sense to me.

Go to the link below and Search Documents then LSR. Pick your Township and Range and Master Title Plat. You may have to download the viewer. It will give you the .pdf of the Township. The lot numbers will be along the north and west edges. The acreage is noted for each lot. Save the pdf and then you can enlarge it for your particular area.

Hutch - thanks! I thought I had read that somewhere.

Jen, they only got about 2500 ft of Section 5 drilled.

SEC 11 Township 2N Range 4W–what is status of the BRIAR wells?

Surface located in Section 11 extending into Section 35—does Section 11 participate in production?

Completion reports for McElroy 3 and 5 in paper today.

3: 266 bbls/day and 8,981,000 cf/day

5: 268 bbls and 8,939,000 cf/day.

Linda, that’s what I was thinking too lol.

Thanks for your help ā€œMā€. That is a really cool tool. So easy to see what that legal description means.

Does anyone know about the Condit 05 02N 04W - Condit 2-5-32XH? I thought it was a split between Stephens Section 05 and Garvin Section 32. But then I thought I read somewhere that it was just going to be Section 5. I can’t seem to remember where I read that. On the application to drill it says it’s a split. Just curious if I dreamed that to what… Division orders should be out shortly but I’m just curious. I’ve been in Eureka Springs, Arkansas cleaning out my folks’ house. I’ve been out of the loop for several weeks.

Yes Linda, Section 11 is supposed to get some of the Kellys. Both 14 and 11 are supposed to benefit.

Intents to drill in Stephens in Oklahoman this morning:

Chesapeake, Jody No 1-15 well, 15 1N 8W, TD 9800.

Chesapeake, Jody No 5-15 well, 15 1N 8W, TD 8,019.

Jen, they had problems and 32 was not penetrated. Completion was in 5 only.

A stream will not come into play unless it is a navigable body of water. The Arkansas River is an example.

In Oklahoman today:

Completions in Stephens: Marathon Oil, Ely #1-12 in 12 1S 5W = 151 bbls. oil a day, 1,098,000 cu. ft. gas a day.

Newfield, McElroy 3H-19 in 18 2N 4W, 266 bbls of oil per day, 8,981,000 cu. feet of gas a day.

Newfield, McElroy 5H-19 in 18 2N 4W, 268 bbls. of oil per day, 8,039,000 cu. feet of gas a day.

Good gas numbers on those McElroys!

Guess we got those McElroys covered, Mike… someone said something about ā€œgreat mindsā€¦ā€

Mike, where you out there? Did you happen to see what was happening with the Poteets in 17-2N/4W?

Robert, not sure how the Briar wells came out. Seems like I heard on here that Section 11 got none of those, but I do believe they are in to get the new Kelly wells to be drilled across 11 and 14, I believe. If someone knows different, please correct.

Load of oil out on the Wright and a rig about to go up on the Honeycutt.

That rig is for the Honeycutt 6.

I received a letter from Jackfork Land on behalf of CLR yesterday regarding a new well called the Celesta 1-5-32XH in Section 5 Stephens and 32 Garvin. There are already 2 Condits in Section 5. It says they are testing the Springer formation. My question is… I’m already leased and pretty sure that lease had no depth clauses. I’m wondering why they are asking for me to make an election - participate in the well or choose lease terms. Any thoughts?
