Stephens County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Hutch, you can put this in concrete. The 18 mi. road runs between Section 16 & 17-2N 4W. If my brothers and I missed the bus we walked that 3 miles from Garvin/Stephens County line south to Hwy 29 and back east pert near 2 miles to school. Back in the day, as they say.

That’s a long walk Richard. Is your home still there?

The old 2 story house is still there. Located 3/4 of a mile east of 18 Mile Road on the county line but time and the elements have taken their toll.

Yep, Richard is right on with the 18 Mile Road… I call it ā€œWater Tower Roadā€ because the water tower is there between Section 16 and Section 17, Township 2 North, Range 4 West (actually sits on Section 16 on the east side of that 18 Mile Road). That’s the road where you can get pictures of half of your new Poteets babies! I went to the emergency room today with allergies from all the dust down there on Sunday, but he said I was not contagious. No fever, just sinus infection. Should have worn my dust mask—I knew better, just didn’t do it! We’re needed much more rain, so start the prayers again everyone, please!

I got notice of a second well under 10-2N-4W only and 6 multi-units wells under 10 & 15. All in Woodford 5 with 65% under 10 and one at 50%. It is with Continental.

Congrats Ron! Continental shares have been on a tear lately, closing up today on very strong volume at $43.10, after touching a low $30.06 in December. Today’s news was that HH just sold off a pipeline and other assets held outside the company in a limited partnership known as Hiland Partners, LP to Kinder Morgan for $3 Billion. Such a cash infusion makes for exciting news in Stephens County, where they’ve already announced they are concentrating drilling operations. Here’s a link to the WSJ article, but I think you need a subscription to read it.

Got the division orders for the Boles wells today. If you have an interest in these, you should get the paperwork soon.

Has anyone heard any developments on the Kelly wells?

I’m confused. I just got info on Section 2 2N 4 it’s Grady County and Sunco was doing this? Isn’t Newfield doing this now?

Wendy, 2-2N/4W is Stephens County and yes it is Newfield. What kind of info did you get? Sunoco is usually an oil purchaser.

Michael it was a you own and they (Sunco) want to release royalties.

Ron, was CR intent to drill Section 10, Township 2 North, Range 4 West published somewhere?

Now we know the reason for all the compressor sites and water holdings in Section 10 Township 2 North Range 4 West.

Chevron stopped paying on several of our wells in Section 3 Township 1 North Range 5 West in October. The family members that have called have been told that they overpaid due to accounting issues and it could be several more months to a year before we receive any royalty payments. Is anyone else experiencing these issues or have any information?

LaWayne 1-17H. Section 17-1S-5W. I am receiving offers to purchase my minerals on this lease which was permitted last September so I presume drilling is close or has commenced. I don’t see anything in the Electronic Well Data records. Does anyone have any information? Thanks in advance.

Hubby said they had a completion report of the new ā€œFosterā€ well this morning and was something like 300 barrels of oil and 7 million cubic feet of gas. That’s just approx.

Linda, could it be the Forest 2-8H?
