Stephens County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Was on the McKinsey (sp?) ND forum because a friend owns there but got off so I didn’t want to join back up. I would have posted this there but know some on here also own in ND and might be interested in it.

Yes, thanks M. Barnes, that is about right for the address. I believe there is a church on part of it. First Assembly of God? If I find out the dimensions of one ‘lot’ within Block 138, I can then add the rest of the lots to figure out what percentage of an acre I own mineral rights for within Block 138. Hard to find at a distance, so much appreciate your help.

Hutch…he said on the gate there were two Forest signs and one Poteet sign. Isn’t Poteet number 2 the one on Section 8 (the one he couldn’t see)?

They finally posted the completion on the Forrest 2-08 02N 04W. I wish it had been a Springer but it is a Woodford. Still not too bad at all. I just wish this oil would stop going down. Not to mention gas… Just when I was starting to get used to this… I know it will go back up someday. I just hope the wells won’t be dry by then. I really thought we had reached the low on Friday, but it just kept going down today.

Hutch, will you get paid bonus if you’re not leased?

Hey Vicki, any news on the Hays?

Looking for information on Section 35 Township 2S Range 5W in Stephens County. I inherited these mineral rights from my grandfather however, it’s been many years since anyone in the family updated our contact information. Just trying to find out if anything has been going on? Thanks Lisa B

TJAS- Does 800 S 1st Street ring a bell?

Friend me and we can hunt more. Looks like a residential area. Very small part of an acre.

Those are some really good numbers on the McElroys, aren’t they? I mean, divided by three months seems great to me. Am I reading them right or do you still have to divide them by 30 to get the bbls. per day?

Yes, those are the 30-day averages for the 3-month period and yes, divide by 30. The gas and NGL are making more $ than the oil.

1 - 17,639 bbls over the 3 months

3 - 14,424

4 - 13,158

5 - 14,429

Total 59,650 bbls over 3-month period, 663 bbls per day

From all 4. High of $98.8 to low of $79.172 / bbl.

Right on the same pad as Forrest 2-8H.

Well…this has me second guessing myself Hutch. Maybe just north of the compressor station is Section 8 (and the Poteet number 2), ya think? I was thinking that was still in Section 17 but maybe not. Anyway, I just talked back to him and he was headed home and said he’d give me a full report when he gets home.

Karla, my “yes” was to Linda’s question. If you own the minerals and are not leased then yes you would be pooled but I think you need an answer from someone with a little more legal knowledge. I have seen curative pooling in cases where there is some question as to who actually owns the mineral rights.

Hutch…he did see the two wellheads on what was the Forest and Poteet #2 wells but I sent him on a wild goose chase because I thought there was another well further north. I didn’t know where the section line was. The frac tanks were all leaving that location and since it was the pad for both I guess he thought they were fracing both but I’m pretty sure now they had just fraced the Poteet #2.

TJAS Friend me and we will take this offline.

I asked Hubby to go to the diggings and report what was happening with the Poteets and Honeycutts. He said there are five rigs standing on the south side of Highway 29 (the Honeycutts), four of which have pipe in the derrick. Going down what I call Water Tower Road, he saw frac tanks all leaving the Forest well and the Poteet well (these just on the north side of the compressor station). I told him the Poteet well that was drilled on Section 8 would be just north of him across the Section line and right beside the road, but he couldn’t find it at all. He came to the Condit well, which is too far north, and he came back but could not find it. (I don’t know what the deal is there). He’s headed west on Highway 29 now but said there is no Section line road that goes north along Section 17, so he’s going further west and then try going north from there. Anyone have any idea how to get into those westmost Poteet wells that are on Section 17 2N4W???

Linda, the Forrest 2-8H was completed in October, so maybe those tanks were coming off the Poteet #2. I hope.

Sorry, Hubby made it back but didn’t find out any more because the gate was locked going into the Poteets in the middle of the section and he never could find out how they got into the westmost wells in the middle of the section. My guess now is that they entered in the gate that runs right beside the Poteet number 1 and goes north. They also keep that gate locked all the time now. So, now we still don’t know anything except that they just fraced probably the Poteet number 2. He said he might check again tomorrow while everyone is working and maybe the gates will be unlocked.

Linda, Poteet 2 and Forrest 2 are in Section 8, 260-265 ft north of the section line and 675-735 ft east of the section line. At that distance maybe he couldn’t see the wellheads.
