Jen, I missed it too, my cousin Gary is the detail man in the family.
Thanks for thinking about us, Linda.
Hhaha! Not YET!
Do you think they will keep drilling with the prices tanking? I know oil is a driving force but our area has “wet gas.” You think that matters?
M.W. thought maybe you took early retirement lol.
Michael, see my link to CR December update below. They will slow growth but sounds like they will keep drilling and producing in proven areas. I think the wet gas in our area matters a lot. After almost 3 years the Poteet is still making 2 mmcfd averaging over $6/mcf last 12 mo.
Hutch, your Poteet rig is still up at 4pm today with full stand of pipe. Either coming out of the hole or going back in. Maybe finished. Time will tell.
Sorry to those with interest in what’s going on with the Poteet’s. We were tied up with the painters here at the house this weekend and didn’t get to tour. Maybe tomorrow, Lord willing.
Thanks for posting the update Hutch. That “~$15 Billion” market cap mentioned on page 2 is down to $12.59B after today’s 11.5% slide in share price. http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=clr We certainly live in interesting times.
Oil getting hammered again today at $63.09. Kind of cools my enthusiasm.
Michael, Taking more out my monthly checks than can put in my gas tank.
Thanks Richard, from what I heard it should be getting close. Would be nice to hear some news by year’s end.
I know Bruce, doesn’t quite equal out.
Encouraging if they are not being overly optimistic, makes me feel better.
Very interesting, Hutch!
Yes, my email is the same.
Not been on here much because we haven’t had any more excitement. Haha! It’s starting to get going again though. Briar wells and Kelly wells! Yay!
Thanks for the update Linda.
Unfortunately, we can’t stop importing oil. Our refiners can’t use a lot of the US crude oil that is being produced.
SEC 34 T 2N R4W–is there any drilling?
ROBERT R
Thanks for posting the update from CLR, Michael. Makes me feel better too!
Waiting to see what goes on with the government meeting on Dec. 11. Someone we know said he hoped they didn’t decide to export oil at that meeting but that they decided to stop importing it. He thinks that’s what they will decide. Hope it’s right. Just be interesting to find out!
I asked hubby to go down to the diggings this morning and see what he could find out. I thought he knew where all the Poteet wells were but when he returned he said they were not fracking anywhere around the Poteet rig that was still drilling and that there was a great lot of pipe in that derrick. Well, come to find out he only went down the road that led to that rig and looked at those wells around there. He didn’t know to go on past the compressor station to the north (which was the one I saw the fracking equipment around last time down or to Section 8 where the Poteet number 2 was drilled). Sorry, I dropped the ball there. He did say there were still 5 rigs (Honeycutts I believe) on the south side of Highway 29 and one on the north side. Said the McElroys were producing away with a small flare on one. Also a small flare was burning on the Jerrod. Was a large flare when I was down last. That’s all he found out. Better luck next time maybe. After my epidural tomorrow morning hopefully I’ll feel more like touring the diggings myself. Please pray for that if you will!
