Rick:

Sorry for delay; been offline/on phone last 2 days w/passel of cousins.

He was for sure at 1st NE c/o, then later nw c/o s16 and described all kinds of survey flags. He’s not familiar w/PLSS, centerline of trench, etc. We kept losing comms-too many peaks and valleys. He will call either later tonight after 9PM Central after he gets off work or tomorrow AM via landline. I will send him township map(tks M.) in a little while that I marked up and shud know for sure tomorrow sometime AM after our fonecon.

R

Robert,

I’ll be passing by the area tomorrow on my way home. Taking that route only adds about 15 miles to my trip.

I cheat and use a PLSS overlay on my Garmin GPS to make it a bit easier for me.

Rick,

That would be great, and I’ll owe you…maybe I can return favor upon my visit next year. If you will “friend” me I’ll try to fill you in. Haven’t heard from nephew and if he’s like me, probably having to rush out for last minute gifts. R

Lowrance 2 and Vanarkle 2-7 wells are all producing now. Looking for a completion report soon.

Hello folks this is my first time to comment on anything with this group so if I do something wrong just let me know. I was just reviewing some of your comments on 16 2N 5W, I am the landowner and a mineral owner where the well is supposed to go and all the flags your seeing is for a lease road going to a new compressor station about 2000’ west. One set of flags are for a pipeline coming from the east going to the station and one going north out of the station. They are also laying a line north and south through 16. All I can tell you about the well is its supposed to be in the NE corner of my wheat field. I signed an affidavit of ownership a couple weeks ago and that the last I have herd. Sure is a lot of work fixing to start, hopefully something will happen in 2016.

Rick:

Thank you so much for cking s16 2N5W

Kenny:

Thank you very much for your explanation of 16 2n5w. If you don’t mind, do you remember what date the survey team started setting the flags? Reason: My lease for the primary term for my mineral acreage on s21 2n5w expired on Dec. 19th. Since I didn’t receive payment from the Lesee to extend an add’l 2 years as per Exhibit “A”, I don’t know if I may possibly still be under lease…R

Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and is looking forward to a good 2016. Can anyone tell me what ‘treating’ means on a royalty payout stub. It is for an approx. 6 months working gas well. After the line stating treating, there is always an amount deducted. Thanks so much for your answers. Just curious as to what this means. This is such a great forum to read and keep up with what is happening. Appreciate all of your posts.

TJAS, Ah, the notorious post production deductions! They often have to clean up the gas to get it to market to sell. It can mean anything from dewatering, compressing, etc. Transporting usually gets a line of its own. Just so you know, over time, those costs are likely to rise.

Kenny, It is good to hear that the surface owner also has some of the mineral rights in 16-2N-5W. It makes it quite a bit easier to put up with the impact on your property and the area.

Thank you again, Kenny. There are at least 9 other relatives of mine, some in OK, others in states further west, that will be grateful for your input and others on this site when I pass it along…R

John Moseley, please keep me us updated on the Lowrance and Varnarkles. Thank you sir!!

Note: John, unfortunately for us in 16 2n4w the Doyle well is only padded in that section and we don’t benefit from that good well. I believe they said it goes across 21 and 28 but I may be mistaken on it. Yes, I also hope they drill one on sect. 9 and come south through section 16. Sounds really good to me. Would love to have another Springer. The Jarod has come back well from the fracking around it or whatever killed it to start with. It made as much this last time as all the Branch wells put together. It’s in the Springer and the Branch wells are in the Woodford.

Thank you M. Barnes, for the info about ‘treating’. I thought this might be going away, but not according to your answer. Oh well…

Thanks Joseph! Hoping they will spud another Springer in sect 9 to the north.

TJAS, yup, sorry about that. I usually try for NO post production charges at all in my leases. I have some old inherited leases where those charges eat up 80% of my royalties. Even the “enhanced production” clauses will charge you. I avoid those as well if possible.

NFX has an avenue of Springer wells from sect 4 to 28 with great results. Can’t believe CR is not exploring Springer in east offsets.

Very good Springer well producing over 1800 bopd.

Thanks Huey, that’s good to know.
