My family owns the mineral rights to 325 acres in Moffat County, Colorado. Currently, all is under lease and some of it is currently in a Unit producing NG and oil.
Yesterday, we received word that the company we have had a good relationship with for the past 3 years has sold our leases and others they have to Southwestern Energy. It sounds like Southwestern is buying up the majority of leases from Shell and Quicksilver in Moffat County as well.
I am looking for information on others' experience with Southwestern. Have they been paying the royalties in 45 days? Any issues on paying the correct amount? Are they approachable and willing to discuss future plans? Are they currently actively drilling in Moffat County? Just some general information that would help us to get started with a new relationship.
