Does any one know about soil farming after a oil well is drilled. Is this a good thing or bad.
All new to me. Oil company wants to spread this on my land. Need some feed back on this subject.
Thanks Russell

It has been discussed somewhat before. I recommend doing a site search here.
Hi Mr. Burton, Landspreading of petroleum wastes, incl. petroleum contaminated soil has been done for a long time. I’d advise looking on the internet for Landspreading , and it is often called Landfarming, too. There are many research articles demonstrating that many potential concerns have been looked at.
I hope this helps.

Hubby says Soil Farming is a good thing. I believe he said they take the uncontaminated water and spread on your soil. When I talked to a man here while back down at our diggins (wells) lol in Stephens County he was looking for some landowners around the Yandell well in order for his company to do this soil farming on. He said at that time that it was fresh uncontaminated water. My husband said then that it was a good thing for the landowner. I know you posted this in Dec. and I'm a little late seeing it but hope this helps!
