I was using the Texas GIS viewer to look at the Ahira Butler Survey and noticed that there is some serious slant drilling along with the county below which I also might be affected by if it involves my inherited property of mineral, gas, and oil. Rose City Resources will not return a call about any potential drilling to take place despite that a letter recently arrived stating that there was some activity going on, who we leased to, and an offer from someone other than Rose City to buy the interest. I’m sure everything is strictly controlled by law, but as a newbie, I am just wondering if a person can be cut our of ROI if an oil company decided to slant drill from another county and change the listed county from Ahira Butler to E. B. Smith. There are now three slants. Kinda concerned after not hearing about anything concerning a permit on Ahira Butler. Does an oil company have to pay if they slant drill onto your portion where you own the mineral rights etc?
Thank you.
