I have received two division orders from Wildfire Energy for property my parents leased in Madison County, Texas. I have requested for them to provide me with a copy of the unit plat showing the leased acreage of my property in order to see if I agree with the percent interest they stated in the Division Order. So far no response and if I understand correctly, if I sign the Division Order, I can no longer dispute the interest they said I have in the well. Is there a way to find this information on the Railroad Commission web site?
If these are unit wells, then the DPU or unit agreement will be filed in county deed records, listing leases, total acreage and containing a plat of the acreage. If these are allocation wells, then the DOI will depend on the length of productive lateral traversing your tract. The as-drilled plat will be filed with the completion reports on RRC website. You will also need to know the net mineral acres owned by your parents out of the gross acres in tract and the lease royalty rate to calculate the DOI.
Thank you for the information. I will look in both places for the additional information.
