Without more detail, I can say that generally when a landman/woman approaches you to lease, they will often hype the prospect of drilling “soon.” It can take years to develop a unit and a number of issues can delay development.
When did you sign your lease, and who was the operator? I can provide some more info if I know the area you signed a lease.
