Signed a paid up lease with Vickery and then got a division order from Antero

As a noob small % mineral rights owner in Tyler Co, WV (inherited the interest recently), Vickery Energy used Penterra (administrative services company) to get me to sign a paid up O&G lease with Vickery, which I signed and returned, and about a month later I received a division order not from Vickery but from Antero. What should I ask Vickery and Antero about this apparent change in ownership of my lease? Was it assigned to Antero? Etc. Thanks in advance.

It is quite common to have several working interest owners in a well, each with their own leasing strategy. They will use one or more agents to do their leasing for them. Looks like the operator ended up being Antero. As long as the decimal amounts are correct, then you are fine. You do not have to sign a DO in WV, but it is good to confirm the decimal if it is right and send by your W-9 so that you will be paid in a timely fashion.
