We have 40 acres in SW Sedg Co and was contacted late last year. However, due to their BS lease terms and my lack of time to rewrite it for them, I did not get on the boat. Their offer was 350/acre for 3yrs with 2yr option. I contacted them recently and they said they have since stopped leasing.
I am curious about any new news on this? I know from county docs that almost my entire section was lease recently and the one next to me but I realize that does not mean much. I know they were drilling two sites recently and wondering of that went sour on them?
They are (someone is) adding power lines along 47th st south. They own all of the sections from Afton
to Shulte. Maybe more. They cant Frak until they get that power I assume. I am wanting to see their results of their Pauly(Hospital West) well in Sumner Co, and their Means well (not Fracked yet, but ready) as it is near me.
I think they are waiting to see what they get. This is why I signed early. You may get more if they hit big.
You may get nothing if they dont. They did studies on this area before they offered, so cross your fingers.
The Means well south of Goddard hasn't had a drilling rig on it yet. They have the site prepped and ready to go, but no party yet. They don't need the 3 phase line to drill; they use their own generators, as is what they did at the Pauly site at Viola. They did have 3 phase power ran to the Pauly site after they drilled, but after that (around Christmas/New Years) they pulled the productions tanks and supporting equipment. The wellheads and freshwater pit are there, but nothing else (as of about 2 weeks ago). The Heimerman site south of Conway Springs also has the wellheads, freshwater pit, and 3 phase power, but no tanks. I see Shell drilling intents on the KCC website for western Reno County; Unit Petroleum had a nice horizontal well over there last year (per KGS info) and it looks like Shell is maybe going to do some exploration there. Considering that they did not apparently plug the wells and remove the wellheads on both locations, it seems that they must have got something at Viola and Conway Springs. It would be nice to hear positive news, but I guess the oil industry is like the nave; "Loose Lips Sink Ships" :-)

Drilling rigs normally have engine/generator rigs to supply all their own power, one or more big diesel engines with generators. At the Pauly site they also had a large Caterpillar generator unit tied into the power panels they later tied the new 3 phase power lines into. When I was at the site after New Years, they had also taken out the power panels. Usually they don't pay the power company to run lines unless the well goes into production, which makes the fact they pulled the tanks rather puzzling, unless they are selling their interests to another company. Whichever, would be nice to know what they found.
So much going on in Kansas, I can't keep up with it! Is there a significant difference between "forced pooling" and the recent approval by the State of Kansas for formation of an Alternative Tract Unit with only 69% of the owners agreeing (I've heard 75% - the landmen and attorneys are sending doomsday letters!). I've got my back against the wall with time running out (or so they say.....) I have five working wells on the perimeter (within a half mile outside the perimeter of the proposed ATU, and one plugged and abandoned within the proposed ATU- most of my O&G leases are in Morton, Stafford and Finney counties. This sounds to me at least "semi-forced" pooling, and I don't like it. I have 4 producing wells that are less than a half mile outside the perimeter of the proposed ATU. They intend to frack the ATU, and I'm concerned about drainage from the productive areas just west and south of the proposed ATU into an area that is far less productive. First I was called by the Company (Linn Operating - who had recently purchased my leases on the producing wells from BP) and told that their application to the State of Kansas had been approved under the provisions of the Integrated Basic Proration Order for the Hugoton and Panoma Field Areas, contingent on the approval of at least 63% of the persons required to pay the costs of the 75% of the unit operation, whereas Applicant (Linn) owns 100% working interest in the unit area......AND by the owners of at least 75% of the production or proceeds that will be credited to royalties...... I can't see how this is going to benefit me, but it appears that I will have no protection. I and 7 of my family members vs 27 corporations and private parties doesn't give us an effective "no vote" - and it looks like we are the ones being "forced". It seems there is nothing I can do - its about as forced as force can get.

Kansas is a State that doesnt force pool. That means they could ignore you, however they would have
to stay 331 ft? from your property. Complicated for them. I have been trying to see if Kansas needs to
be a force pool State to protect the small property owners. Big ones dont need , or want it apparrently.
But I am still looking into it. My Dad is a long time State Senator, and is getting mixed opinions. Kansas
is like the only State that doesnt force pool. It seems to me to hurt small land owners, and slow down
