Anyone have an idea what royalties are selling for in the Eagle Ford Shale?
That's a pretty broad question. A few things to consider:
- Where is your acreage? County? What part of the county?
- Who operates the lease?
- What are the lease terms? A 25% royalty is worth much more than 12.5%, etc.
- How have adjacent wells performed
That's a starting point for what you should consider. There is no answer like: "We pay 5,000 per acre across the Eagle Ford" and if anyone tells you that, run.
In the Fayette County thread, someone was mentioned as paying $10,000 per acre for royalties in parts of DeWitt, Karnes, and Gonzales counties.
