I have been approached to sell mineral rights in Columbia County, Township 15 S Range 20 W, and I have no idea what I am doing... I hear about leasing in South Arkansas and I don't know if I should keep the rights and hope to lease... How can I find out what might be going on in this area...
New leasing is slow everywhere due due to oil and gas prices. Columbia County is a pretty good oil and gas area. As a general rule, if you don't need the money don't sell mineral rights. If you need to sell market them. Don't take some unsolicited offer without research.
