Seeking info on leased ,without production mineral rights

I’ve been following county clerk land records and documents pertaining to lease signed in late 2014. I own 50% of 80 acres in Creek County, Oklahoma. We received bonus without any problem. At time of signing, landman stated oil company was unknown. Shortly thereafter the lease was transferred to American Energy Partners - Woodford. Several months later court documents were filed which reflect lease (along with many others) transferred to Union Bank, apparently as collateral for large loan.

Can anyone shed light on this situation? Do most leases result in production? Is it common for leases to be used exclusively for borrowing purposes / to improve financials by oil and gas companies?

Would appreciate any information from those who have had similar experiences and also ideas and thoughts of what the future holds for AE Partners minus Aubrey McClendon.
