Hi - I lost my mom and recovered several hundred acres in mineral rights, I know there are leases on the land, but she was only getting one small gas check. I would like to figure out who all has leases on this land, and if I can get it producing more, or someone else in that might produce more. This is in Haskel and LeFlore County, OK. I know the land has natural gas and coal, unsure about oil.
What would be the best way to figure this out? Post what I received?
Condolences on your mom. Make sure that you have the probate properly finished. Neither of those counties had particularly high activity at the moment. There may be old conventional wells. The majors are not really interested in those reservoirs now. You many find some smaller companies still drilling niche conventional wells.
You can use the descriptions that you have to look up wells in the sections using the Oklahoma Corporation Commission well records website. Then you can post in the Ok Minerals-county option to get more info on the ones after that. Post in the correct county to get more local info.
