I have recently determined that a family trust has mineral rights in Muskogee County, Oklahoma in Section 25-12N-19E and Section 31-12N-19E lot 3 only. What is a lot?
Does anyone know of any drilling or producing wells in these areas and the names of any companies I could contact re activity?
Joseph, A Lot is a legal description for a portion of a section, approximately 40 acres +/-, located along the northern and western sides of a township. Any deficiencies in size found by the surveyors in sections within a township were confined to these sections (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,18,19,30,31), Lots can also be found when a river cuts through a section. Section 31 is located at the SW Corner of the township which is along the west border of the township. What have you found as far as activity in the area?
