Looks like there is an oil and gas lease covering all of Section 4 (Instrument I‑2026‑002159, Roger Mills County records). Does anyone know if there are any permits?
Looks like companies are just getting going on recording leasing there. Probably way too soon for permits. The individual that filed that instrument in April was the first. Likely many more leases to come.

One thing I didn’t mention is that we were not notified of the lease by Appleton Oil & Gas. We saw on the county records that a lease was issued in this area. Could it be because the depth doesn’t cover the lease? We are in the county records and are specifically in the NW/4 including Lots 3 and 4.
Permits probably won’t be filed until much more leasing and then the pooling hearing if there is one. 20 leases filed in the last four months.

Each individual or entity signs their own lease. For a multitude of reasons companies select who they want to contact and why. Appleton signed a lease with that individual that included 13 properties total. They may not even be very interested in sec 4-11n-26w.
If you have unleased minerals there, the landmen will find you. If you’re looking to instigate an offer, contact any of the companies that were granted leases. Be patient though, it’s pretty early to get the best deal
