Hello, I have questions concerning a longtime family property we own. We have the mineral rights. Our mother had someone drill on the property between 20-30 years ago. Mom said it was a 10-year lease/contract. We were told by other relatives that lived on the property that it was then capped and buried.

If you are in Carter County, OK, then there was the Rockhill & Parker as Operator for the Yell 1 well. It was drilled in JUne of 1950 and lasted until May of 1951 and then re-entered in Dec 1951 and lasted until 1956. Does that ring a bell? You might want to keep a watch on Carter County, OK in the forum. There is increasing activity in the county.
