Hello, My father owns a portion of the following: Section 29 Township 7 North Range 3 West of the IM in McClain County, Oklahoma. Section 32 Township 7 North Range 3 West of the IM in McClain County, Oklahoma. Section 5 Township 6 North Range 3 West of the IM in McClain County, Oklahoma. He purchased these in 1984. He is currently getting offer letters of up to $4500.00 per acre from Plainview Oil on each of these sections. Is there something going on in this area as this is the first time in almost 40 years there has been any correspondence addressed to him? Are these good offers? Should he just hold on to these sections? He has never received any royalties etc. to date that we are aware of.
