We own these mineral rights which are currently under lease and have been producing by Crescent Point since 2012. We have received a low offer to purchase the rights so I’m curious … . although we have no need to sell, does this indicate new permits for this property?
I don’t see any new permits or drilling rigs for miles, but perhaps someone with a DrillingInfo subscription can check it out (sometimes they show new permits sooner than they show up in the state databases).
This is not a super active area. The well holding the lease is about average (143,000 barrels since 2012). It is likely that additional wells will be drilled on these lands, but not for many years. If you have no need to sell, I would recommend holding them indefinitely, which it sounds like you plan to do!
