I have received an offer for $150 an acre from land company 3/16 for 3 years. Does anyone know anything about them. I asked him if I would receive money right after I signed lease and he said it would be about 3 or 4 weeks so that would have time to find records verifying that we really own the mineral rights? How did he get our name if we didn't really own the mineral rights? Anyone know?

22-15N- 5E Oklahoma. JoAnn, I have been burned giving a signed lease to a landman and suggest that you place your lease with your bank if they sent you a draft or escrow it with a lawyer. Better safe than sorry when it comes to leasing.
