Has anyone in this section leased and be willing to tell your bonus amount?
The more important value is the royalty, not the bonus. The higher royalty on a productive well for many years will usually far outweigh the one time bonus for a lower royalty. You should be able to get 25% royalty in that section. If you have not leased before, it would be wise to get a good oil and gas attorney to review any draft lease. They are not in the mineral owner’s favor and need significant edits. If attorney fees are not feasible, then wait for pooling and most of us would select the highest royalty option. (Be sure and respond within the 20 calendar day time frame.)
Thank you for your time! …I should have been more specific. amounts for 1/4 and 1/5. Have offers on both just was checking what the going amounts were for that area of Roger Mills.
I see 42 leases in that section in the last 24 months. Bonus amounts are not public unless someone wants to share on MRF. The closest you can get is a pooling in the last year in the contiguous sections, but I just checked and none are available.
Are there any future plans for 16 through 18N-25W?
Your location is unclear. Do you mean section 16-18N-25W?
No. It’s 8-17N-25W, 4-17N-25W, 5-17N-25W, 32-18N-25W and 33-18N-25W.
Made a mistake with 16. That’s 20-16N-24W.
8-17N-25W no current permits for new horizontal wells-a few on the eastern side of the township
4-17N-25W no current permits for new horizontal wells-a few on the eastern side of the township
5-17N-25W no current permits for new horizontal wells-a few on the eastern side of the township
32-18N-25W no current permits for new horizontal wells, but there is one in 16/21
33-18N-25W no current permits for new horizontal wells, but there is one in 16/21
20-16N-24W no current permits for new horizontal wells, but there there are ones in 1/12, 2/11, 14/23
This new Cherokee play is still developing, so time will tell.
Thanks for the update!
