Had a call about 18 months ago from a small company in NW New Mexico advising I had minerals in Section 4. Basically thought they were wrong; rest of family got a call. Searched familysearch.org, got a copy of original land patent from the Fed and COVID happened. I figured it was dead for at least another year but am glad there is some action. I think I own like 4 square inches and hope eventually to pay my water bill. NM GIS is really good and I’m hoping for more action soon.
