Just got a call from a friend who owns minerals in the s 1/2 of this section. They have been offered $6500 an acre for their minerals. Seems to be lots of activity close to them. My feeling is to hold on but wondering if im missing something.
Joe I count at least 5 active producer/operators in the surrounding area…Diamondback E & P, Vital Energy, Laredo Petroleum, Vencer Energy and Pioneer Natural Resources. There are some decent wells in this area…if they were my minerals I would be patient and wait for the drilling to start.
That was my thought also. Possibly a lease bonus if its not held by production already and future royalties!
