Sec 21 c17 Reeves co Texas

They permitted a well in this section in June 2012. I have mineral in this section and I am trying to find out if the well has ever been completed. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

John,

Can you give the Abstract # of this Reeves County Sec. 21 C 17 or the name of this well?

John,

After doing some searching, is this the well in question? If it is, it was completed in September 2012 as an (Wolfbone)oil well.

John -

The link below will allow you to download what I could find on your Well on DrillingInfo:

From the Directional Survey, it appears that they Commenced Drilling Operations some time before March 20, 2013 and that by April 21, 2013 were down to 10,914.0 feet in a proposed 12,500 foot well.

It would be safe to say that they have finished drilling the well. As to why they haven't completed it or updated their paperwork, it's hard to say. Could be they are waiting on a Completion Rig, could be that it's a Dry Hole, could be that they want to "Tight Hole" the well (keep it's completion information secret for two years).

You could call the company and ask for the Landman who is in charge of that area of Reeves County - he or she may be able to tell you something. Otherwise, you just have to wait for whatever's going to happen next.

I did note that they amended the Permit to be for the Phantom (Wolfcamp) Field. The Permit Plat outlines a 637.902 acre Unit, but the Field Rules for the Phantom (Wolfcamp) Field only allows for a maximum of 320 acres plus up to a 40 acre tolerance, so they will be reducing the size of their Unit. Probably just split it in two.

Hope this helps -
