We have been approached about leasing property for Salt Water DIsposal Well in Section 7, Block C PSL. The offer was .05 per barrel of water deposited into the well and this seems extremely low. We were told that there is a limited number of SWD wells that can be within a certain area. We have also been told that it takes about 18 months for operator to secure a permit. Any truth to this? What is the going rate per barrel in this area? Would appreciate knowing the pros and cons in having one of these on our property. It has been a number of years since the property has been leased for grass land.
