I just received a letter from EnerVest Energy - seems they have purchased the Barnett Shale assets from Encana. I haven't received a decent royalty check from Encana for the past year but they collect $975 million for the sale. Does anyone know anything about this purchase, or how it is going to affect mineral right owners in Tarrant County. I emailed the new company but haven't heard anything.
