We are pooled in a well owned by Sabine Oil & Gas. We have received several notices of the Chapter 11 bankruptcy case filed on behalf of Sabine Oil. So far, we are still receiving royalty payments from the company but was wondering if there is anything we need to do to insure that we continue getting paid. Has anyone else sought legal advice concerning this case? That's our next step.
I contacted them and was told not to worry, as this was a necessary legal procedure to enable Sabine to restructure their books. Monthly royalty checks will not be affected.
Thanks for the information. I thought this was the case but wasn't for sure. We have been getting all kind of info from the New York Prime Clerk handling the bankruptcy.
