I inherited a Cleveland vertical well from my father, which he bought 30 years ago as a stripper then. But, being a petro. eng., as well as a farmer he liked to produce it. 480 acres came with the pump and tanks.
He died happily there, and I “took over,” not knowing a whole lot, except a course at OU, and lifetime of brief interaction, while he mapped.
So, I leased my 480 acres to his protege, and they drilled a horizontal in the Cleveland on the other side of the section, going N-S.
After 4000 feet of lateral, fracked with 28 tanks of (?). Since then little frac water, and sand have come out; only enough to require blowing compressed air and soap three times. (Their procedure was to hook onto a nearby gas line, but it only had 30.#
So, boo hoo to that, but now my little stripper well won’t produce, even though I checked tubing and replaced pump. Now, I’ve heard that my neighbor’s well west across the road has the same problems.
Could someone explain my situation, or do I just sit and wait for a tank of oil to be produced?
Thanks,
M.S.
