Is there a standard method for royalty payments? monthly, quarterly annually??? How can I find out when I should start receiving payments on a well that has been drilling for 6 months now?
There may be a state law for royalty payment timing depending on what state the property is located.
Have you executed a Division Order yet? If so, the Division Order will likely tell you the timing of payments.

Buddy CottenI am negotiating a lease in Weld County CO. The lease template says nothing about timing of royalty payments. Are there COGCC rules regulating this? I cannot find anything on the site, though I'm not sure the best way to search. Or... should we include stipulations in our lease for royalty timing?
