Is there a recourse when payment is not made in a timely manner? Patriot has always paid on the 22nd of the month. Yet this month there has been no payment. My numerous calls are always responded to with a “tomorrow”. Yet there is nothing “tomorrow”. It has already been 10 days. What can one do?

Does you lease provide for interest for late payments? Also, many oil companies do not pay until the accumulated royalty is $100 (or some other specified amount such as $25). This is called "minimum suspense." If you are paid for only a few small wells, then it may depend on whether there was sufficient oil for pick-up and sale during the month or whether the well was shut-in for repairs or other work.
