What happens when an oil company makes a mistake and leaves your interest out of a division order? Or assigns them to someone else. Are you entitled to all back payments? If so, how hard is it to obtain these from the company? I have already been in contact with them and by their own admission they say the person we sold 1/2 interest to is there, but not us. We are where he obtained his half. I have sent a copy of the deed so they can review and see we only let go of half. Just wondering what to expect.
