Royalties being stolen

How can I determine if someone is operating on my royalty property? And or, stealing my mineral rights?

Welcome to the forum.
Wells are drilled on acreage which is owned by mineral owners. The operators do their best to determine who the owners are by title searches. They lease or pool the acreage depending upon the state and the regulations required. Each state with oil and gas drilling has an oil and gas commission which monitors activity.

If you want to give your state, county, section, township and range (or block, abstract name and number plus section number for TX), the forum can help point you in the right direction for where to find information.

Welcome to the community @Skittles! If your minerals are in Texas, you can use the RRC’s GIS Viewer to see if there are currently an active wells or new permits on your property. Go over to https://gis.rrc.texas.gov/GISViewer/ click on the magnifying glass, click on survey, and type in your county and survey information. When the survey comes up (highlighted in blue) click on the I with the circle around (for information) click WELLS and then click one of the circles on the map in your survey. If you’re not quite sure where on the survey your minerals are, or have trouble reading your legal description, this post on the forum could be helpful to you Help figuring out how to read legal descriptions
