What leasing activity has there been in Roger Mills County 14N-21W or 15N-21W in a meaningful period of time? What stage are the newer wells at? Is there other meaningful information I ought to ask for?
Thanks!

I usually look at 24-36 months of leasing because that is within the three year normal lease timeframe for potential drilling,
14N-21W has 16 sections with leasing, Nine horizontal permits are pending with two rigs on location now.
15N-21W has 19 sections with leasing. Five horizontal permits pending.
Crawley and Mewbourne are the main operators drilling for the Cherokee shale play.
If you want specific sections, then give those.
Thank you! I appreciate your help.
Is there somewhere online to tell which sections in 14-21 have leases, and where the permitted wells are going in, and what sections they will cover?
When they choose a pad site, what are they looking for? Are they using existing pads or only starting new ones?
If they get oil, does it all leave in trucks? I know there’s a lot of pipeline out there, but is it all gas?
Is there any slowdown of drilling with the current low price of oil?
Thank you.
You can look up permits at the OCC wellrecords site. https://public.occ.ok.gov/OGCDWellRecords/CustomSearch.aspx?SearchName=OilandGasWellRecordsSearch&dbid=0&repo=OCC
Leases can be found at www.okcountyrecords.com
Drilling pads need a flat site-about five acres. These new well pads will tend to be about 660 feet from either the east or west line of the section and very close to the north or south border. They are allowing room for future infill wells.
Sections in 14N-21W that are currently held by production have leases or were force pooled. Most of the rest of the township has had active leasing in the last 36 months. If a mineral owner’s name and address are properly on file at the courthouse, then the leasing agents look there first. For the sections that are being drilled now, the folks that did not lease were force pooled.
Yes, the oil leaves in trucks. Gas has to have a pipeline. Looks like the new horizontals in 14N-21W have both oil and gas.
There may be a slowdown in drilling, but depends upon the operator and their portfolio and economics. They drill when it makes sense, so some are able to keep going. Gas prices are up, so that helps balance out decisions.
I know of two wells whose 1280-acre spacing units included sections 11 and 12 of 14N-21W. Mewbourne completed them and they came in nicely (Cherokee formation). The wells were spaced at 1280 so a section adjacent to each of those above would have also been included.
Can you elaborate on the 5 permits & sections included in 15-21 that mentioned earlier
Here are the permits. You can tell the sections from the numbers in the name.
Adparo LLC Doc’s 1-1-12CHX (Cherokee) sec 1 & 12
Crawley Pritchard 2-33-23CHX (Cherokee) sec 33 & 23
Crawley Ellis 1-22-15HX (Cherokee) sec 22 & 15
Mewbourne Monte 26/23 OB 1H (Cherokee) sec 26 & 23
Mewbourne Ruben Rivers 24/13 PA 1H (Cherokee) sec 24 & 13
Mewbourne Donita 35/2 BO 1H (Cherokee) Starts in 35-15N-21W, goes south into 2-14N-21W
Mewbourne Angus 32-20 PA 1H (Deese) sec 32 & 20
Mewbourne Pritchard 5-17 AP 1H (Deese, Cherokee) (14N-21W sl in 15N sec 32) no perfs in 32.
csw0817: If there is a new well adjacent to this section, you could probably get closer to $6000/acre at this point.
No, I am not! Thank you for that information. How can I get access to that information?
Thank you! I will definitely check into the unclaimed funds!
Where can I find the API# for Mustang Fuel?
Do you mean API for the Mustang Fuel wells?
Yes, and I did locate several API#s for the Mustang Fuel wells, but there are several APIs attached to Mustang Fuel wells.
The cause # is CD2025-00 & CD2025-003785 if you want to search the OCC.
Linda, you need the rest of the case number. All of the case numbers in 2025 start with 2025.

Electronic Case Filing. This is where you find the case documents.
Thank you for your assistance!
Make sure that your name and contact information are filed with the county courthouse if you just inherited-along with probate documents and description of the acreage. Otherwise the landmen and attorneys cannot find you to get you the case documents. Mineral owners are also responsible for contacting all of their operators to get into pay status.
