Roger Mills County 32-12N-26W

I’m trying to find out what recent activity has taken place in Section 32‑12N‑26W in Roger Mills County. I see filings such as leases, mineral deeds, and assignments in the county records, but we have not been contacted by any operator and haven’t received any information about leasing, drilling, or planned development. If anyone has any insight I’d appreciate it, thank you.

It appears to me that section is currently held by production from two “active” wells. The Tipton 1-32 shows active but has no reported production from the last 12 months. Other well is the Fowler 1-32 from Unbridled Resources. Are you receiving royalty checks from them?

No newly recorded leases in section 32-12n-26w. New leases nearby in section 28-12n-26w, and 4-11n-26w. Those appear to be the only sections near you not held by production, so signing leases since 4/26 and 7/26 of this year. That area appears to be a couple years out before drilling.

Yes, we are getting a royalty check for Fowler 1-32, but not Tipton. What does it mean when held by production?

It means you already have an active lease for these minerals. The depth clause written in the lease is what would hold your lease for future wells.

So any new well(s) will be met by the terms already established in that lease. It appears that the Tipton well became active in 2004, which preceded the Fowler well in 2011. The terms in your Fowler well were established by the Tipton lease as no new leases were recorded before that well was drilled. Check the OKC website for yourself or a family members lease dating back to 2003. You’ll wanna read that lease over, to understand your royalty and all the other clauses. E.g., deductions, depth, shut-in, commencement, and more.

The terms on that lease will more than likely be the terms on any new well in your section.
