Are you guys aware of any rigs in San Juan or Rio Arriba counties, New Mexico?
Any deep shale permits in the last 3-6 months in the area?
No rigs running right now, but a little bit of permitting activity
Not a whole lot in the last 6 months though
We own interests in the Mancos & NW Lybrook Units out here. They were drilled in 2013 and have changed operators multiple times since then; the current operator is Enduring Resources. Unfortunately, they cut off the Mancos wells in April and choked back the Lybrook wells significantly as well.
Between the price of oil, as well as issues with nearby Indian reservations and operator bankruptcies, there are plenty of uncertainties. Depending on where you’re located, there is great rock out that way; it’s all just a matter of whether the basin continues to be developed in the future!
