My family owns 3/4 of the mineral rights on 150 acres in Lubbock County Texas and suspects that leases may have been signed with non-owners. Are Leases Recorded and if so where? What is the best way to discover existing Mineral leases on a given property?

If the lessee couldn't find your family or your interests are not property recorded, they may have taken "protection" leases for several reasons. The new leases may be unrecorded. You should confirm the documentation of your ownership and send copies to the operator when the well application is applied for. (APD)
