Well, this is a first for me, even though I’ve been managing our family’s mineral interests for more than 40 years. I’ve received two letters from Gulf Exploration, one for Pontotoc County and one for Coal County. They request permission to conduct a 2-D seismic project in the 2N-7E and 2N-8E area of those counties.
Just offhand, I can’t think of any reason not to give this permission, as it represents possible new exploration in our area. I thought I should ask here, though, if there’s any downside to this?
