Anyone dealing with Repsol? Leases state no production costs to be deducted but Repsol is doing just that. The did refund in 2024 but the next month said they made a mistake and took $28K back. Did not receive royalty check July 2026, well is producing according to Railroad Commission. No response from email/phone calls regarding no payments. How to proceed from here?
Time to send a certified letter return receipt which will start a statutory clock ticking for a response. Give them your name, owner number, property ID from the statements and ask your questions respectfully and briefly. State how many times you have tried to contact them. Send a copy of the lease that says “no deductions”. Ask for an excel spreadsheet of the amounts paid and deductions taken. Taxes are legit unless your leas does not allow for them. Ask if they are withholding funds until the overage is accounted for, etc.
