John, there’s a horizontal permit in the next parcel. Maybe more than a 2 mile radius is warranted. It’s what’s underground that counts. What’s under section 28 is also under large swaths of Reeves and surrounding counties.
I just saw where BHP revised the plat on our permit. We recieved our first royalty check last month. The way I read the new plat is, the acreage unit was 643 and it was filed as a horizontal. The new plat is only 321 acres and a vertical well. The boundries on the plat are no longer encompass ours. Im confused, it looks like were not in the new plat, but received a check. Could they have been forced to pay us until they got the plat revised?
389-33564 is the API, any help is appreciated, thanks
Excuse me, its a directional well now not a vertical.
Buzz- so does this mean what I think it does? If the state approves the changes, were cut out of the unit, and we get nothing?
George – sorry, I’m not qualified to even speculate. Later – Buzz
Ronnie,
The well you’re speaking of is the McAfee C17-21 1H

Ronnie your Abstract # is 1411
George – I sympathize with your frustration. It will be interesting if the commission approves this amendment (BHP calls it a ‘New Drill’) w/o further explanation. You might wait until it is approved. Later – Buzz
We have have few acres in PSL block c-17 section 20 question did anything good come out of well in section 21 next door. They were indications of horizional well being done a few months ago.
Clint guess I was thinking they had a oil well, did not know is was gas well. The map I was viewing the ledge was indicating a horizontal well again just a country boy doing a lot of guessing. Thanks for the info and there has been nothing on my lease A 1411.

Tracey,
Hey boy that’s a spider web…naw just kidding. Shows to be Gas gathering/Gas transmission lines.
Clint – on RRC GIS map viewer, under the ‘Visibility’ button – top left on the menu bar – check ‘Pipelines’ on the dropdown menu. Then ‘mouse over’ a particular line and the commodity and operator’s name appears. Later – Buzz
PS – I like your ‘Have a great day’ line
Clint,
I was following along and Block C-17, Section 14 showed up on the map which is close to the Cottonmouth 58-47 #1but was not part of the discussion. My family owes section 14 and we also have an interest in the gas well. I’m new to the forum and still learning, can you help me understand what all the pipelines in Block 70, Section 1 directly south could mean.
Thanks,
Tracy
Tracey – using Clint’s screen-print where your SEC 14 fills the upper left-hand corner… the pipeline that runs off the page in the SW corner of your SEC 14 is a major interstate natural gas pipeline –- El Paso Natural Gas Co. that runs all the way to the California border.
All other lines shown are owned by Access MLP Operating, LLC – a subsidiary of Chesapeake Energy. They gather locally produced gas from natgas wells in the Woodford Shale (deeper than the Wolfcamp), a formation developed by Chesapeake in the 2006-08 era before natgas prices crashed. The wells are now owned by Shell and Access does the gathering. Later – Buzz
Thanks for the info Buzz…
Clint
more activity East and North. I’m finding some oil wells as close a 7 miles away.
