Reeves County, TX - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Jess – for several years C-W has had a farm-out type agreement w/CHK in central/southern Reeves that is still in effect. They have stepped their activity back up where they currently have 3 rigs running… one in SEC 41 (A-4506), about 1-1/2 SW of your SEC 22. Later – Buzz

Any info on Section 27, Block 51,T8S, A-767 would be welcomed.

I know Clayton Williams has drilled a horizontal next door, but don’t know the results.

Jess

Jess – whose your current lease with… how old? TIA – Later – Buzz

Thanks Buzz, the Williams site east of us is API 38933613 and another to the north is API 38933703.

Our participating interest in the lease is up in Oct and I haven’t heard of any offers. I don’t even have the lease number.

Buzz,

Thank you for taking the time and effort to share your research and knowledge with us. Your information has been timely & enlightening.

Jess

I need information on lease activity and rates for the Block 4 and Block 5 boundary along I-20 about 3 miles west of Pecos.

Gretchen,

Do you have an Abstract #?

Clint Liles

I’m looking for information on Section 4 Block C-20 leasing rates. I see allot of activity in section 20, but not 4. Does anyone have any recent informaiton to share?

I too am looking for lease rate info.

Abstract 321, Block 13, Section 265, twenty acres, lots 5,6,7,8 of Block 3

The northeast corner of the property touches the southeast corner of the forty acres that one of the Perry State 264 wells is centered on.

Thank You.

By the way, I really do wish to say thank you to all for sharing your knowledge and information. I and my relatives have learned a great deal from the Mineral Rights Forum.

Clint Liles, no I don’t, all I have is Block C-20 Public School Land Survey. It’s the south 310 acres of Secton 4.

does that help at all?

Clint…I found the abstract #, it’s A-2500

Buzz, I wrote in a few months back …trying to find info on what/where/how - with my family’s land. I finally found the abstract and other info. BLK 4, Tract 31, AB 396. Sec 31 W/3 S/2 , 101 acres. Do you know of any activity there or nearby …? I have a lease w/BHP now for about 8 months…?

Lori-

It depends on how your lease is worded, and whether that one well can hold all the acreage.

Buzz—when a well has been drilled ( whether it be producing or shut in) can the left over acres in the lease be put out for re-leasing after the primary lease has expired? If there are 3 sections involved in a lease and only one section has the well on it in other words…

Need info please; leased my land to McDonnold Petroleum LLc two years ago Tract 1 Sec 68 Blk 4 and no activity. Do they drill in Reeves Co? Oxy drilled right behind my property, Heard 68 well 33142, Is there any activity forth coming to this area. Would love any info provided.

abstract 4113 we have lease with petrohawk the p-12 pools us with the state, now well is completed are 40 acres are in the middle of the 640 arces now petrohawk says were not part of the agreement they say the state doesn’t want to share is this posable??? looks to me like we are getting the shaft.

Wade, you are the only one in this forum that might be able to answer my question. My wife has participating mineral acreage in block 56 PSL in Reeves County which are leased. In the same section she had non- participating mineral acreage. Assuming there is eventually a producing well in the section, how is the royalty rate determined knowing that different mineral acreage in the section is leased at different rates? Donny

Wade Buzz and others, I have been interested in the Bhp/Petrohawk Lease Heagney 4-48 (our minerals are in adjacent section) the permit number is 732208. In the third month of production the well production in whole barrels was 3114 and 42217 mcf . Sixty days later production had fallen to 959 and 10093. The well was listed as pending (not sure what that means) what do these numbers look like to you, what observations would you make about these initial numbers for a Hz well thanks Kerry
