Clint- sec 26 blk 13 h&gn rr co survey
Debbie,
That is pretty far south and outside of what I would consider the core of the play. It looks like Apache has numerous permits and 2 rigs running in the area. No results though. I would caution against those falling in love with the activity. The area is still very speculative but I have no insight at all into what Apacheâs results are/might be. Maybe someone here does. The purchaser is obviously hoping that the results are good and is attracted by the activity.
However, if these 2 apache wells have poor results they are unlikely to continue in the play and that would greatly diminish the value of your minerals. With no results to go off of I think that $6500 is a fair offer for non producing minerals. Depending on the results what constitutes a âfair offerâ could swing wildly up or down.
My minerals are in that area too and I am also Interested in all information about Apache actively.
Debbie,
I see where Apache spud(began drilling)a wildcat well in Section 26 on May 7, 2016. I do not see a completion report as of now. I see no other past activity in the area except a few dry holes that were drilled possibly 40/50 years ago. Apparently someone knows something about the results of the Apache well or you wouldnât be getting a offer to sell your minerals.

Debbie,
Remember, this is Reeves County and it is an oil and gas rich CountyâŚbe careful the move you make. Someone knows something about this area already to want to by your minerals. Possibly some of the other minerals owner in the surrounding acreage have gotten the same sales pitch you have gotten.

Thatâs what she is claiming, but Shell and Chesapeake paid regularly. COG has paid only $255 in 6 payments since they have had it.
Thomas, the report I meant to say is Production Data Query (limited area)
Debbie,
Friends request sent.

My siblings and I have 90+ acres in Sec. 14 Blk. 72 PSL that Chesapeake drilled a well on in Sept., 2008, gas well API 38932512. Our Royalty checks started about $1k per month each, then down to $600 then to $100. In Sept. 2012 they sold to Shell. Shellâs royalty checks were always $100+. In Jan. 2015 they sold to COG Operating, Midland. Since COG has had it we have only been paid $285 total, and nothing since Jan. 16. I have called them on this and keep getting a run-a-round, saying that our balance is in the negative!
Who can I contact to check to find out what is going on on this?
Will appreciate any help.
Thomas,
It sounds like they overpaid you royalties and then suspended the account. It could be due to a title issue or any accounting error. I have had this happen to me several times. The division order analyst usually doesnât know why. I am guessing that is who has been giving you âthe run around.â I would try talking to someone in the land department or their in house attorney. You might have better luck
Dusty, how can I find what they have been reporting?
Debbie â would that be to purchase your mineral interest outright, or is it a bonus to lease? (I believe I know the answer, but you donât know these days in Reeves County!)
Thanks â Later â Buzz
Debbie,
There is approximately 30 Sec. 26 in Reeves County. Location can make a big difference whether you are leasing or selling. Please give the complete legal location of your 12 acres of minerals.
âWelcomeâ to Mineral Rights Forum.
Thanks,
Clint Liles
Thomas, If you havenât already it might help to compare the volumes shown on your monthly royalty statements to what was reported to RRC.
Thank you Dusty - that is going to help a lot
can anyone tell me the latest status on well 389-35158 ?
Thanks
Garland
Thank You Mark. =) My husband inherited the property and there is an old lease on it. Our understanding is the well isnât producing. How could we get get a copy of the lease. I spoke with the clerks office at the courthouse and was told without the Vol/Page number she couldnât help me. We are in KY. =)
Does anyone know anything about COG Operating, LLC? I have been trying to contacting them about no royalty payments received since 1/16, and cannot get anyone to answer or return calls for 3 days. How can I contact RRC to find out if they are still around.
Thanks for help
Pardon me - thatâs COG Operating in Midland, TX
Not sure I can help you on the contacting part, but thatâs Concho Resources and they are definitely still around.
I sent you a friend request with my email. Email me the name of who your husband inherited from and I can see what I can find out. Also Send the Block and section if you have it.
