Reeves County, TX - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Not sure if this is where to ask or begin looking for info. Newbie here, I own interest throughout Texas and have recently received a very competitive offer from shale energy LLC for net acre interest. Has anyone dealt w them? I am looking to market rights in reeves, Dawson, Borden and a few other counties. Any help would be appreciated. The offer was quite substantial.

Clint, Thanks, i’m not sure where to go to verify that ws do in fact have an interest in that section. As i stated it is not in our files. Thanks again for any help Tom

The company that holds my lease has filed Chapter 11 BR. I have received packets of information from the court but I’ve never received a word from the company. I don’t know if they are still producing. I don’t know if they are being sold or what the status of my lease is. Can anyone tell me how to find answers to these questions?

Thanks,

Glen Kirk

Dusty, my lease is with Arabella Exploration Company. The location is:

Section 140, block13, Houston and Great Northern Railroad Survey A-2139.

Thanks,

Glen

Glen, only thing I can add to what Clint gave you is that RRC shows Arabella Operating LLC in active status as an operator based on a new P-5 they filed with RRC on 1/12/16.

You probably have it but if you want to try calling them their phone number for HQ in Fort Worth is (432) 897-4755.

Based on a news release they apparently had a potential asset sale fall through in September at the same time $16 million in unsecured debt came due.

Ok guys i need a little help. We have a company offering to buy some interests we have. Not selling BTW. But they claim se own an interest in a section i have no info on, so id like to see if you guys can help. Sec 44. C We are buying in all of those counties right now. My email address is 3toilandgas@gmail.com. I would like to take a look at what you have and see if we can’t offer you more

C2, feel free to send me a private message and I can give you my thoughts on the documents you’ve received. Also, since you’re wanting to market your minerals, you may want to checkout one of the board sponsors:

Elizabeth, to answer your question, the Texas Railroad Commission website possesses a wealth of information about oil and gas activity, and it is free. One of the best tools they have is their ā€œGISā€ viewer. It takes a little getting used to, but it can provide information on permits, production, pipelines, and more. To reach the GIS viewer, follow this link: http://wwwgisp.rrc.state.tx.us/GISViewer2/

John,

Your minerals are in a very productive area of Reeves County. Next door to your minerals a well in Sec. 37/Blk. 1 is well # 389-34027. Completion Report on this well showed 292 BOPD/1,192,000 MCF gas per day.

Link to Production Data on well 34027:

Dusty the abstract no in sec 1 bulk 2 is 362. Thanks

Can anyone tell me why Arabella is only pumping 1100 to1200 barrels per month with some months showing 0 production. I’m sure there are other producers pumping many more barrels than that. Could the bankruptcy have something to do with it? Also, I heard some other company was trying to buy Arabella. Any truth to that or is it just rumor?

Thanks,

Glen

Drillnomics Analysis of the Wolfcamp Shale – Reeves County, Texas

January 11, 2016

http://www.drillnomics.com/drillnomics-analysis-of-the-wolfcamp-sha…

In the last 5 years, the mature Permian Basin has been brought back into the oil and gas spotlight as one of the most prolific unconventional resource plays in the United States with the discovery and development of shale formations. Development in the Permian Basin, and specifically the Delaware Basin, which is located on the western side of the greater Permian Basin, has historically been achieved through vertical drilling and production. In the last 5 years, much of the development has shifted to horizontal completions in the shale zones.

The two main shale formations in the Delaware Basin are the Wolfcamp and the Bone Spring. Drillnomics has analyzed 27 producing horizontal wells in the Wolfcamp formation using public production data and information from publically traded companies’ investor presentations. While the Delaware Basin covers much of Eddy and Lea counties in New Mexico and the west Texas counties of Culberson, Loving, Reeves and Ward, this analysis focus on horizontal Wolfcamp wells in block 50 T8S and block 51 T8S, which are in the south east portion of Reeves county, Texas. {more}

Operations Update {excerpt}

Denver, Colorado–February 26, 2016–After completing the Queen City 302BH [SEC 3 BLK C21 PSL]in early 2015, Resolute suspended its drilling operations as the Company focused on undertaking strategic initiatives to reduce its leverage and improve its liquidity position. As announced in our third quarter earnings release, the successful completions of these initiatives allowed us to recommence our Reeves County development program in November 2015.

We now have drilled and completed two wells, the Jolly 1201BH [SEC 12 BLK 21 PSL] and the Flying Dog 1401BH [SEC 14 BLK 21 PSL], each a 7,500 foot Wolfcamp A horizontal drilled in our Mustang project area. Our estimated gross drilling and completion costs on these two wells are $8.3 and $7.5million, respectively.

The Jolly 1201BH was completed on January 13th and to date has reached a peak 24-hour rate of 1,679 Boe per day.

The Flying Dog 1401BH was completed on February 17 and is flowing back.

Our third well, the North Goat 2 Unit 2201H [SEC 22 BLK 2 H&GN], has been drilled and is waiting on completion, and we are currently drilling the North Mitre 2101H [SEC 21 BLK 2 H&GN].

Each of these wells is a10,000-foot horizontal Wolfcamp A well in our Appaloosa project area. The North Goat 2 Unit 2201H well reached total depth in 34 days, seven days ahead of our planned drilling time.

The well will be completed in mid-March.

After drilling of the North Mitre 2101H is finished, the rig will move to other 10,000 foot horizontals in the Appaloosa area. Later – Buzz

Off the top of your head do you have a feel for how this flow rate (24-hour rate of 1,679 Boe per day) stacks up compared with others in Wolfcamp A? About typical?

Buzz thanks for the info on resolute, any info as to where they are headed next? they have two wells permitted for our property east of those mentioned. We are in Blk C-21 sec 3
