Lynn what are you asking please?
Hi, question. If you own ( not State of Texas) surface rights & mineral rights in Reeves County, what is the advantage to keeping the surface rights if the piece of land is just grassy, greasewood flats. Not fenced. I understand the advantage to mineral right and would never sell, only lease, those rights. Thank you for your time!!!
Mary Anne, One thing it is nice to know if they were doing any seismic activity or if they want to build a pipe line through your surface rights. the taxes are generally so low that I think it is worth it to keep the surface .
Mary Ann I would not sell surface many reasons roads, pipe lines, surface water pits, seismic. ect.
Hello All: I have 10-15 Acres that we want to sell in Reeves / Pecos area. I do not have the mineral rights but have had several offers for the surface property. So far, nothing has closed. Can anyone tell me a good place or agent to list my property? We live in FL and really have no use for this land and would like to sell.
Thanks!
We are in Blk. 13 Sect. 219 A-307 and have received several phone calls from our current lease holder Clayton Williams wanting to renew. Just curious if anyone else in our area is getting called and by who.
Hey Mitch,
Try the 'Market Placeā at the top of the Mineral Rights Forum main page.

I am a mineral rights owner in a well in Reeves County. We, the mineral rights owners, get no communication from the producing company so we never know what the status is. Mgmt of the company is totally incommunicado. I need information as to how to look up the production numbers on the TRC website.
Thanks,
Glen Kirk
CWI just called, for the second time, wanting to top lease for $750/ac. and again I refused to even consider it. Block C-7, PSL Section 26.
Glen, You need to have name of well and operator at minimum then you can look under operator number at all producing wells in District 8. Once you have RRC lease number, you can look under that well only. If it is new well, then you would look under the pending category for production under operator number or under RRC permit number. Do you have API number or permit number? If you post section, block, survey in Reeves County (and operator and well name if you have it) then someone can identify well and help you navigate RRC site. If this is an old well that has ceased producing and there are no other operating wells on your lease, then maybe your lease has expired.

Arabella permitted the Graham, well 1H 10-23-12. Per Drilling Info the well has produced an average of 49 barrels of oil per day since production began June 2013. Cumulative oil is shown to be 52,721 thru February 2015. The API number is 389-33496 and the production for oil and gas can be checked on the RRC site using the API or the name of the lease, Graham. Hope this helps. Sarah
The number you will need is 749912, put it into the Production Report Query page, and show the lease type as pending.
Ugh! One of the joint owners in my property just signed agreement to allow seismic testing on the property. Evidently they only need one owner to sign the permit to proceed with 3d seismic testing? Supposedly we will all be paid at $17.50 per acre we own, but university land rates says $20 minimum. Thought I t might help others to know 3D seismic testing is being done south of Pecos area --heard it will be for more than just my property. Also, Does anyone know what rights I have. I donāt understand how all of this works.
We are in Sect 258, Blk 13, 9 miles south of Pecos. Oxy has drilled an excellent well on us, completed in December. I was interested that they are having 3-D Seismic now being run over our acreage (and surrounding area) to further understand what appears to be a blanket strata, but with local ānuancesā. FYI, we received a similar bonus for the seismic.
The well is Graham #1H. It is a new well about 1 1/2 years old. I donāt know where to look for the API or permit number. Can you tell me?
Thanks,
Glen
Sarahā¦did you say Arabella? My family has an Arabella well. Arabella has been very difficult to deal with lately. We have had to threaten legal action in order for them to even pay royalties. They have āleft the buildingā and moved to Fort Worth. They canāt even afford to pay for our second well to be fracked. We have been able to get their attention only by sending them certified letters as per the TX RRC regs.

Folksā¦Arabella is not even signing the receipt for the certified letters. We also followup with an email with the certified letter attached. They are reacting although with lots of āthe dog ate my homeworkā excusesā¦we are finally getting checksā¦
